Young people

Providing young people an understanding of the world as they see it

“Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health"

Carl R. Rogers, founder of person-centred therapy

Teenage to adult (aged 11-29)

Many young people are struggling to navigate the social and political landscape we find ourselves in today. In addition to this, the pressures placed upon young people both academically and socially, can often lead to a feeling of overwhelm and exhaustion. This in turn, can lead to other issues such as anxiety and depression, to name just two. Young people are frequently searching for a space to be themselves without judgement and are seeking reassurance in an increasingly uncertain and confusing world.

I am passionate about providing young people with the understanding of their world as they see it, and to provide a warm and supportive environment for them to express their fears and work through their concerns and issues without fear of judgment. By doing this I aim to help them to understand their feelings and develop their resilience and adaptability to life’s ups and downs.

Conditions, disorders, and issues I can help with include: Neuro-divergent conditions ADHD, ADD, ASD, OCD, Anxiety, Self-esteem, Self-harm, panic attacks, Chronic fatigue syndrome, mood disorder, depression, health anxiety, Gender dysphoria, identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, eating disorders, Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), Boarding School Syndrome (BSS), personal development coaching.
